Maribel Bustos Cardoso is the new Spanish teacher this year at El Camino.
She went to Sacramento City College and did student teaching and volunteering to get teaching experience.
Cardoso then went to Sacramento State to get her teaching credential alongside her bachelors degree in Spanish and her masters degree in linguistics.
“My favorite part about teaching is educating the students and helping them learn the language and the culture,” said Cardoso.
Cardoso brings a fresh new environment to students who wish to learn about Spanish and its many different customs.
