Last Thursday, Apr. 9, El Camino’s swim team celebrated their seniors in their last home meet of the season against Woodland.

The team honored their 14 seniors with gifts, flowers, and a short ceremony during the meet, in which varsity swim coach Cory Stowell spoke a little bit about each senior’s time in the program and their plans after high school. The swimmers’ experience levels ranged from life-long, four-year varsity swimmers to first-year beginners, but every senior competed in the meet.

EC beat Woodland by a large margin, continuing their undefeated streak.

Now, EC has one meet left in league, happening this Thursday at Casa Roble. After that, the team will head to league championships at Woodland on Apr. 22, hoping to bring home another Golden Empire League title. Sections will be held after that, where EC will compete against teams from all over the Sac-Joaquin area, hoping to bring home the section title like EC’s girls swim team did last season.

To cheer on your Eagles, attend their final league meet this Thursday at Casa Roble, beginning at 4pm.
