Creating art projects since she was six years old, Beginning Drawing and Painting teacher Amanda Mc Donald has continued her passion for art at El Camino.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree at Birmingham Southern College and her master’s degree in arts education at University of Alabama in Birmingham, Mc Donald went on to teach various art classes for 12 years before transferring to EC.
During middle school, Mc Donald was inspired by her art teacher, Mr. Gunter, and gained an interest in teaching her own classes. She expresses her gratitude for the connection she gained with him.
Mc Donald enjoys the stress free environment in her classes and loves implementing her passion for art at EC.
