On Wednesday, October 23, the El Camino girls volleyball team played against one of their rivals, Rio Americano Raiders. Throughout the game Raiders and Eagles had a tight game going back and forth between Eagles and Raiders.
At the end of the first set, the score was 25-23, Raiders win. At the end of the second set, the score was 27-25 RAs win and at the end of the third set, the score was 25-22, Raiders won so that wrapped up the game with the Eagles losing all three sets ending the game.
The team Captain Gianna Giacomotto (‘20) is sad to see the season end.
“It was really tough knowing I’ll never play volleyball with this amazing group of girls again, but there was so much love in the gym that night and I couldn’t have asked for a better turnout and support from the school. Knowing I had club season and hopefully college volleyball to look forward to was comforting as well,” she said.
