On the morning of Aug. 16, the majority of the El Camino Senior Class woke up while the moon still shone to watch the sunrise on their final year of highschool.
“Waking up at 4am to drive people around sucked,” said Lulu Craig (‘20),“however the sunrise was pretty and the coffee I got afterwards was worth it.”
Student Government was sure to provide students with chill music to vibe to along with snacks like donuts, bagels, Capri-suns, and water bottles to start the morning off right.
Donovan Yoas (‘20) says, “It wasn’t worth my time because I’m not an early riser. But, I get why [student government] couldn’t do much more with it.” He also added, “The donuts were pretty radical and I personally enjoy Capri-Suns, so that was cool.”
It seems as though the popular opinion was that it was too early to wake up for, but the food provided was nice and having time to grab coffee before school helped. Some students even went out for breakfast afterwards.

Picture taking was greatly encouraged thanks to yearbook student Ciara Rodriguez (‘20) and props provided by student government.
“It was overall really fun. Playing volleyball and taking pictures with friends was the best part.” according to Hanna Szabo (‘20)
Special thanks to Psych Teacher and parent Amanda Belt, Student Government Advisor and English Teacher Amanda Wynn, Principal Randy Holcomb and other staff members and parents of seniors for waking up bright and early to help the class of 2020 start their year off right.
