This week at El Camino, boys volleyball has remained undefeated so far in league after five games. Most recently, the boys beat Woodland on Mar. 18 at home in straight sets. The team has won four of their five league games so far in straight sets. Come support your Eagles tonight in their home game against Casa Roble. Varsity will start at 6pm.

Softball is also swinging into their season, now 2-2 in league, their two wins being against Woodland and Natomas. The girls lost at Casa Roble on Thursday night, but are looking to open the week with a win against Destiny Christian tomorrow at home. The game will begin at 4:30pm.

Baseball opened their league season last week with a three-game series against Sutter, with two games at home and one away. The boys closed out the series winless on Friday night at home, losing 13-2 to the Huskies. The team will take on the Rio Linda Knights this week in another three-game series, the first matchup being today at home, starting at 4:15pm.

The boys golf team played their most recent match on Mar. 19 versus Natomas at Ancil Hoffman. The team automatically won due to Natomas not having enough players for a complete team, resulting in a forfeit. Despite this, the teams played with what players they had, and EC’s boys shot a combined total of 250 strokes. Andrew Potratz (‘28) shot the lowest score of the day, with 43. The boys’ next event is the first league tournament of the season, held today at Peach Tree Golf & Country Club.

Tennis is 7-1 after their away win at Sutter on Mar. 16. The team earned their first loss of the season on Mar. 10 at Woodland. The team will host a match against Rio Linda tomorrow, Mar. 24.

Swim has now had their first few meets, and most recently won their away meet at Dixon on Mar. 19. The team also participated in the Woodcreek Invitational Tournament on Friday and Saturday, but the results of the tournament are not yet known. Swim will have their next meet on Thursday at Natomas, starting at 4pm.

Finally, track is looking forward to their first meet of the season this Wednesday at Dixon. For more information on the track season, talk to head coach Moki Fujita in the athletic’s office.
