Yesterday afternoon, principal Evelyn Welborn emailed school faculty with the new state of the football team. Welborn stated that there are “not enough healthy and eligible players to safely field both junior varsity and varsity teams.” However, rather than combining moving down remaining varsity players to JV, the administration has decided to do the opposite and combine both teams into a varsity team. Both the varsity game today at Casa Robles and senior night (next Friday against Woodland) are back on.
