The team had a home game on Wednesday, and AJ Maldonaldo (‘25) started the game. He played two innings, getting one hit and earning one run. Roan Vogel (‘25) and Charlie Snyder (‘25) helped close the game with a combined three hits and five runs. Rio would go on to win the game 6-1. On Friday, Stecca, Alonso Mcgivney (‘26) and Gori would complete the game together, earning six hits and three runs. EC was able to put four hits on the board, and earned three runs to keep the competitiveness alive. Unfortunately Rio won with a score of 6-3, but most of EC players and fans would see this series as an accomplishment and a move forward. It was the first time in six years that EC baseball lost to Rio with Rio getting less than ten runs. EC Baseball will play Vista Del Lago for their next three game series.
